Educational background

He studied at MDU couple of years ago, Bachelor in Energy Engineering and Master in Sustainable Energy Systems.

Work Experience

Most recently he was working as a consultant in a small PV and battery installation company, before that he was a commissioning engineer at ABB travelling the world. He has also worked a year in parallel to his master studies as a consultant in the Swedish energy plants sector.

Research Topic

Optimal control and design of future energy systems

Research Abstract

I’m analyzing historical load data and using machine learning to produce point-load forecasts. These are used as input for optimal control of energy assets. I gather qualitative data from local domain experts and grid operators, providing insights into long-term infrastructural energy scenarios. How can future city-scale energy systems be designed to ensure profitability and resiliency?
The world urgently needs to transition towards sustainable and renewable energy sources, and we need a lot more electricity. The local electricity production in Eskilstuna comes from the CHP plant and PV parks, but most of the electricity is imported. Increasing the share of local intermittent renewable energy means a mismatch between production and demand. Therefore, the utilization of energy storage is a central part of my work.
